Here's another shout out for another fun company- Real Deals Home Decor. They sell cute and affordable decorations. Last week, they had a holiday shopping event, where if you were on their mailing list, you received 20% one item in the store; there was also a drawing for a large basket of Thanksgiving decor. Guess who won? Oh yeah- it was me! I never win drawings! I still get totally excited whenever I think about it- talk about cheap thrills. There were also a ton of discounts on items all over the store.
Real Deals has a couple of locations in Utah- the one I went to is located in Bountiful at 37 North Main Street. It's a small store, but they have a good collection of home decor- everything from everyday to holidays. There are positive and negative aspects of shopping in such a small store- one positive aspect is that you are not TOTALLY overwhelmed after only viewing 1/1,000th of the store after 15 minutes (like how you feel when you go to Taipan or Roberts Arts & Crafts), but the negative aspect is that you don't get as big of a selection to choose from. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked Real Deals, though. (And no, winning a cool, huge basket of Thanksgiving decor did not skew this shopper's opinion)!
The store showcases a major deal each month, and this month's deal was a huge, framed mirror for only $20- I would have bought it, except for I don't know where I would put it in my apartment! I have run out of walls. Real Deals is open only two days a week: Thursdays 10-6PM & Saturdays 10-3PM. It's an interesting business strategy- being open only two days a week-will someone please explain to me why a retailer would be open only two days a week?

Real deals has one of the coolest little websites. It's a little bit hard to navigate since the whole thing is a work of art, but it's pretty nevertheless. We actually have 3 locations in AZ, which I also never knew. Time to get some funky candle holders and other unique decorations.
