Hamilton's

If you ever find yourself up in Logan, Utah, and would like to eat at a nicer place, go check out Hamilton's. I went there for dessert one night while visiting friends. It is an upscale eatery right off the main drag in Logan. Supposedly this restaurant is known for its Flaming Bananas Foster ($12), so that is what the four of us got to share- and it was more than enough! The preparation was just like they do it at La Caille; except the OWNER came out and prepared the dessert at our table, flame and all. He told us that they actually change the fruit to match the season- apples one season, peaches one season, etc. VERY COOL. And the dessert was delicious!

Here's the description from the website- "Caramelized bananas served over vanilla bean ice cream. Topped with a crumbly streusel. Made to order table side."

Hamilton's is a steakhouse, but there are plenty of options to choose from in any category- seafood, chicken and ribs, pastas, salads, etc. From reading the menu, it looks like any of the fine dining establishments you would go to in Salt Lake City or Park City- except that it's nestled in the Logan valley instead. Pretty impressive! I would go to a unique and local restaurant over a chain any day, and Hamilton's is no exception.
