Here's a fun and unique way to make cupcakes for your next get-together:
Cupcake Ice Cream Cones
1. Prepare and bake cupcakes as usual. Cool.
2. Take one cool cupcake- cut off the top, and cut the bottom part in half. Stuff the two bottom halves into a flat bottomed ice cream cone. Tuck the top part into the top of the ice cream cone.
3. Frost the top of the cupcake rounding out of the ice cream cone with frosting so it looks like ice cream. (This usually works best when funneling the frosting out through an icing bag).
It's definitely a different way to present a cupcake. We gave these to our class yesterday, and the kids LOVED it! Hard to transport, though.

How did you end up transporting them, anyway? I wondered about that. . .
We stuck the cones into a muffin tin- we put a drop of frosting in the bottom of each space to act as a sort of "glue." It worked alright. I have to hold a couple to keep them from falling. Later I transported some by putting 4 in a cooler, and packing the excess space with paper towels.
