Any ideas? I'm having a hard time coming up with fun, unique stuff to do. I get bored really fast when I get settled into the daily grind of going to work, working out (I'm currently trying to get more into this- I'd like to teach kickboxing or step classes someday), watching movies/t.v. (I only watch 1-3 t.v. shows each week), reading (I'm in the middle of about 6 or 7 different books right now- my husband has forbidden me from borrowing/buying any more books in the foreseeable future), cooking (this used to be one of my main loves, but it isn't so much anymore), etc. I probably should be grateful to not have school in the mix (which always makes everything more chaotic!), but I really need some fun ideas of different things to do to shake things up a bit- whether it's a fun, new restaurant to try, a cool store/historical place/sight seeing spot to check out, etc. It can even be a hobby- what do you do for a hobby?
I'm running in two 5K's this month- the Race for the Cure 5K at The Gateway and the Running with Angels 5K at Thanksgiving Point... and I have a killer Arizona/Southern Utah trip and an awesome Boise/Portland trip coming up this summer (I'm hiking Mount St. Helens, in fact)... so all of that stuff should help things not seem so monotonous.
Any and all ideas would be appreciated!!! What are the fun things you like to do in Utah that you can't do anywhere else??

So this isn't exactly Utah but it is close enough to do in a day. You need to go to the Lava Hot Springs and go tubing on the Portneuf River. Blake and I did it two summers ago and it was a blast!
drive for 10 minutes to good hikes. it takes forever to get to a good hike here. hike around antelope island (or bike if your back can take it). visit hill air force base. home tours are fun. church history museum. sewing/quilting is my newest hobby. You are just anal enough that i think you would like it! find a community garden - or ask stui and cassy if you could grow one on their lot....
I love Moab - it's the perfect quick weekend trip. Also, there is an art walk every third Friday of the month where lots of local art galleries stay open late, its a really fun event. Thursday nights will soon be the Gallivan plaza concert series, and the Red Butte Garden concert series just started too! Dine O'Round also just started - cheaper dinners/lunches at higher end places. I also love the free lecture series and movie series at the library. You can meet so many interesting people!
