BAKED EGGS

Ok, so let me just get this out there- I LOVE eggs. Eggs is to love as raw vegetables is to hate. Eggs are not only a great protein source; they can be cooked so many different ways! Preferably, I like scrambled eggs, but lately I've tried to branch out, because it just gets really boring when you have the same type of egg every (other) morning for breakfast. I like to diversify my meals, and I found an EGG-sellent new recipe (I know, that was so lame, I almost erased it, but I'm moving on): Baked Eggs. Break out your ramekins, because you're not going to be able to stop eating eggs this way once you've tried it once:

Baked Eggs for 1
1 whole egg
1 egg white
1 tsp heavy cream
Freshly ground black pepper (I think this is one of the greatest smells in the world)
Freshly ground sea salt
For variation, include sliced up deli meat (ham, preferably), diced tomato, or your personal blend of herbs

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees farenheit. Spray pam in 1 ramekin.

2. IF you want to add these extras, now is the time to put your diced tomato, deli meat, etc. in the empty bottom of the ramekin. Crack one whole egg and one egg white into the ramekin. Evenly spread one teaspoon of heavy cream on top. Grind fresh black pepper and sea salt (and your choice of herbs, if any) on top of that- as much as you prefer.

3. Put ramekin on a cookie sheet, and put in preheated oven for 15-25 minutes (until the middle is no longer jiggly). Let cool, and eat! So good.

Alright, I am going to look like an idiot. What is a ramekin? You will have to let me know, I love eggs too and would love to try it!

You are not an idiot! Type in "ramekin" in Google and you'll find plenty of information and pictures. They are the little custard dishes you back creme brulee in. You can buy them anywhere- even at Smith's. I suggest going to Sur La Table or Bed Bath & Beyond and asking where their ramekins (pronounced ram-i-kins) are, and then see what they look like; you can buy them there or at Smith's. Good luck!
