A Dental Student's Birthday and My First 10K

Happy Halloween everybody! Here is the Charleston pirate jack-o-lantern we created during our pumpkin carving activity for my husband's birthday.

Here is the line up of the prized jack o' lanterns...

The crew during pumpkin carving...

This year, my husband requested a chocolate cheesecake for his birthday cake. Happy birthday!

I ran my first race in SC this month- the Isle of Palms Connector 10K.

It was a cool, crisp fall morning, and there was a big turnout of runners. We all had a beautiful view of the lowcountry marshes and rivers, not to mention the ocean- I loved this run. Breathing in the salty, ocean-y smelling air while running is quite refreshing!

Great job on the pumpkins and the run "situation" sounds fun...just not the running part! Happy Birthday Steve -- that cheesecake made me hungry. Your wife is an awesome cook!
